Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing available for students, faculty and staff
With COVID-19 cases on the rise in Ohio, asymptomatic COVID-19 testing can provide peace of mind and prevent individuals from unknowingly bringing the virus to the campus community, friends, and family.
OHIO offers several asymptomatic COVID-19 testing options for OHIO students, faculty, and staff who are preparing for holiday travel.
On the Athens campus, individuals can schedule appointments at campus testing centers through CVS or Vault Health.
- The CVS test is a rapid nasal swab test. Appointments can be scheduled up to a week in advance and availability is limited. The CVS testing center is open through Dec. 10 and will reopen on Jan. 3, 2022.
- The Vault Health option is a saliva test with results in 48-72 hours and appointments are available to schedule weeks in advance. The Vault Health testing center is open through Dec. 17 and will reopen on Jan. 8, 2022.
On regional campuses, students, faculty, and staff can pick up take-home Vault Health tests at any campus. This is a saliva test and results are available in 48-72 hours.
Additionally, library systems in all counties that host an OHIO campus, except for Lawrence County, offer free, rapid at-home COVID-19 tests for curbside pickup. Contact your county’s library system for availability by branch and pickup instructions.
OHIO students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to utilize these testing options.
