Sibs Weekend activities with Outdoor Pursuits

Outdoor Pursuits has put together another great semester of day and night hikes, backpacking trips and campfire events for Bobcats to experience.

All OHIO students are encouraged to invite their siblings to check out these opportunities.

To kick the semester off, there will be two evenings of campfires and stargazing for Sibs Weekend on Friday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 5. The evening will be spent roasting marshmallows, spotting constellations and listening to tales of the night sky and Ridges lore while sipping hot chocolate.

The group will meet at the Ping Center and depart at 8:00 p.m., and the event will end at 11:00 p.m. The registration fee for this event is $10 and includes transportation, instructors and snacks. Participants should dress appropriately for a light hike and bring a water bottle.

On Saturday, Feb. 5 and Sunday, Feb. 6, Outdoor Pursuits will be leading a Sibs Weekend Day Hike at Conkles Hollow. This is an excellent trip for those interested in sight seeing, as the area is scattered with geologic features such as sandstone cliffs, rock formations and dramatic ridgelines. This trip has a $15 registration fee that includes transportation to and from Conkles Hollow. The trip will depart from Ping Center at 11:00 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m.
