Faculty invited to refer students to the Academic Achievement Center for academic coaching

Are your students struggling with time management, motivation or other crucial academic skills? If so, you may want to refer them for academic coaching through the OHIO’s Academic Achievement Center (AAC).

The AAC’s highly skilled coaches can provide one-on-one, personalized help in the following areas:

  • Procrastination/time management
  • Becoming motivated to attend class/complete assignments
  • Writing a study schedule (and adhering to it)
  • Exam prep and test anxiety
  • Focusing and concentrating
  • Taking effective notes
  • Getting organized
  • Retention and reading comprehension
  • Setting goals
  • Communicating with professors
  • And many more.

Coaches are available to meet with students via Teams from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 9 a.m. – noon on Fridays, and from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Sundays.

Students can request a coaching session by completing the AAC Tutor Request form, emailing a request to aac@ohio.edu, calling the AAC at 740-593-2644, or by stopping by the AAC, located on the second floor of Alden Library, in Alden 230.
