'Let’s Talk About Loss' with author Anthony Webb on Feb. 3
After a challenging few years, many people may be struggling with grief over a lost loved one. On Feb. 3, the Ebony Bobcat Network: Cincinnati/Dayton Alumni, in conjunction with the Ohio University Alumni Association, will sponsor a virtual event titled, “Let’s Talk About Loss” with author Anthony Webb.
“Loss is hard, at any stage in life. During this pandemic, we have had to deal with loss on a different level than ever before,” said Jocelyn Johnson, assistant director of Network and Volunteer Management at Ohio University. “Anthony Webb will guide a discussion on coping with loss with helpful suggestions and he will also give a brief overview of his book, ‘In the Garden’ which deals with the loss of a family member.”
Webb is a 1976 graduate of Ohio University and 1986 graduate from Cleveland State University. He holds degrees in communications and psychology, as well as an advanced degree in psychology from Temple University in 1991. He is a school psychologist, and an adjunct faculty member at Arcadia University.
“Anthony Webb is knowledgeable about the subject matter because his novel, ‘In the Garden’ deals with how a family deals with the loss of the father. The author has had a personal experience of dealing with the loss of two brothers and his parents,” Johnson said.
“Let’s Talk About Loss” will be take place on Feb. 3, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EST virtually on Zoom. Registration is available online at this link.
