Outdoor Pursuits presents: No Man’s Land Film Festival

This spring, Outdoor Pursuits and the Rec Majors Association have partnered to bring a country-wide celebration of women and gender nonconforming athletes and adventurers to Athens. No Man’s Land Film Festival (NMLFF) will be holding a screening at The Athena Cinema on Thursday, March 24, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

No Man’s Land Film Festival is the premier all-women adventure film festival based out of Denver, Colorado, that meets a need and desire to highlight and connect women in pursuit of the radical. According to its website, “the goal of this festival is to connect like-minded individuals who are action-oriented, wish to support a shared vision of gender equality, have a desire to experience their passions and environments through a uniquely feminine lens, and above all, love adventure.”

Thanks to Outdoor Pursuits and the Rec Majors Association, Ohio University and Athens community members have the opportunity to participate in the festival and contribute to “undefining feminine in adventure and sport through film.”

The doors to the cinema open at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 for community members and free for students with presentation of student ID. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and additional information can be found online at nomanslandfilmfestival.org
