The 39th Annual Student Leadership Awards Gala to be held April 20

The Division of Student Affairs announces the 39th Annual Leadership Awards Gala, celebrating the outstanding leadership and community service of students and student organizations across Ohio University. The program is hosted in partnership with the Division of Diversity and Inclusion.

Each spring more than two dozen awards and scholarships are awarded to students for their hard work and commitment to the OHIO community. This year’s themes recognize students who demonstrated purpose, perseverance, and progress by contributing in a way that was meaningful to the self and consequential for the OHIO community.

The awards are broken into four categories: diversity and allyship, outstanding leadership, service, and student organizations. Each category represents multiple awards granted to the top applicant who demonstrated their admirable work throughout the 2021-2022 school year. Leaders are chosen by nomination, application, and selection.

The annual Leadership Awards were established in 1984 to bring much-deserved attention to the exceptional leaders at OHIO. Throughout the years, multiple awards and scholarships have been established to fill the gap of deserving leaders in all aspects of the community. 

The event will take place Wednesday, April 20, at 6 p.m. in the Walter Hall Rotunda. There will also be the opportunity to tune in virtually. For more information on the 2022 Leadership Awards Gala, visit the event website.
