OHIO ranked in the top 40 best Online MBA programs by Fortune

Ohio University’s Online MBA program was recently ranked second in Ohio and 38th in the nation by Fortune in its Best Online MBA rankings.

“We are proud to be a leader in online business education and to be recognized for providing such an outstanding experience for our students,” said Jackie Rees Ulmer, dean of the College of Business. “Our faculty and staff work tirelessly to ensure the success of our students and graduates.”

The ranking by Fortune was compiled after conducting a survey of more than 100 colleges, in which they were asked an array of questions about enrollment, requirements, retention rates, graduation rates and applicants.

Fortune began ranking online MBA programs last year, following the explosion of online programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since last year, OHIO ranked four places higher than it did in Fortune’s inaugural ranking.

OHIO’s nationally ranked College of Business offers the highly recognized Online MBA program, which features nine areas of concentration to help students reach their personalized professional goals in a way that is comprehensive of material but also flexible to the student’s schedule.

“I am extremely proud of our online Master of Business Administration program's success and our most recent recognition from Fortune. We have evolved over time by focusing on the professional and academic needs of our students,” said Bill Young, O'Bleness Associate Professor and director of the program. "I am blessed to work with our dedicated and talented professional staff and faculty. As a result, we have been consistently recognized for our ability to create a learning environment that enables our students to enhance their professional careers.”

The Online MBA program is consistently recognized, ranking 39th in the United States by Poets&Quants and 88th out of over 300 programs by U.S. News and World Report..

OHIO’s College of Business also offers a Professional MBA program, which is a blend of virtual classes and in-person residencies located on the Dublin campus, a One-Year MBA program in Athens and several other graduate business degree and certificate programs that are offered in online, hybrid and on-campus formats.
