Senior Vice Provost for Instructional Innovation and Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer Brad Cohen announces intention to step down
Brad Cohen, who has served as Ohio University’s senior vice provost for instructional innovation and chief strategy and innovation officer for the past seven years, has announced his intention to step down on May 16.
“I would like to recognize Brad for helping to facilitate the timely development of new innovative curriculum and improve our online program offerings which has benefited our campus communities, the region, and the state.” President Hugh Sherman said. “I wish Brad all the best in his new role and will miss his friendship and collegiality greatly.”
Sherman said the University will announce a transition plan before the end of the academic year.
“Under Brad’s leadership, Ohio University has made great strides in our efforts to rethink space, technology, and instructional design to better support student learning and the work of faculty and staff,” said Executive Vice President and Provost Elizabeth Sayrs. “I will deeply miss Brad’s collaboration, and I am grateful to him for his hard work and dedication.”
Cohen, who came to OHIO from the University of Minnesota in 2015, will assume the role of chief academic officer at Top Hat in June 2022.
