Shaub to serve as interim Athens campus dean

Tracy Shaub, D.O. ('92), has agreed to serve as interim dean for the Athens campus, effective May 15. She has been with the college for nearly 27 years, and for the past decade has served as chair of the Department of Primary Care.

Beth Longenecker, D.O. ('91), the former dean of the Athens campus, has been selected to serve as founding dean of a new college of osteopathic medicine at University of Northern Colorado. She joined the Heritage College in 2019 and made community outreach a priority, facilitating the expansion of the college’s community health services to meet local needs during the pandemic, overseeing the opening of our student-run free clinic and spearheading a partnership with Buckeye Healthcare that resulted in a $750,000 grant to expand community nurse navigator programs.
