University Human Resources releases new recruitment materials and online toolkits for search committees

Ohio University Human Resources is pleased to announce the rollout of multiple new resources to support the enhancement of recruitment and selection efforts at OHIO as part of the ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence. 

Online search committee toolkit

As past participants of OHIO Search Committee Training were notified via email last week, one of the new resources is online access to a robust toolkit providing an array of tools, templates, and resources to assist committees throughout the search and selection process. This toolkit is hosted in Sharepoint, allowing all who have active OHIO Search Committee Training completion records access to a regularly-updated and growing resource set. 

University-wide recruitment materials

Additionally, University Human Resources is excited to announce the release of a robust package of recruitment materials built in collaboration with University Communications and Marketing and a number of both University and community stakeholders. This resource set includes a new website geared towards prospective faculty and staff, a PDF with University-specific information and templates to allow enhanced customization for unit-specific, college-specific, department-specific, and even search-specific information. The recruitment materials are housed in the newly-released online search committee toolkit and are available to past participants of OHIO Search Committee Training with an active training record. 

University Human Resources has been part of a multi-year and multi-office collaboration to enhance recruitment and selection policies, training, and practices at OHIO. To date, more than 2,000 faculty and staff have attended OHIO Search Committee Training and a number of departments have adopted more robust practices to enhance equity, inclusion, and accessibility in searches. University Human Resources is pleased to rollout these updates and to further the commitment to continuous improvement through future efforts.
