OHIO seeks nominations for the Presidential Teacher Award and Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching

Ohio University is currently seeking nominations for the 2022-23 Presidential Teacher Award and Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The Presidential Teaching Award is open to full-time, tenure-track faculty from any of Ohio University’s campuses. Information about the award including the nomination form is available at this website.

Each award recipient will hold the title of Presidential Teacher for three years and will receive $1,000 annually ($3,000 total) during that time.

The Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching is open to full-time, instructional (non-tenure track) faculty from any of Ohio University’s campuses. Information about the award including the nomination form is available at this website

Each award recipient will hold the title of Provost Teacher for three years and will receive $1,000 annually ($3,000 total) during that time.

For both awards, recipient selection is based on excellence in teaching and meritorious academic pursuits both inside and outside the classroom, as acknowledged by peers and students, including teaching practices and innovations, influences on curriculum, student mentoring, colleague mentoring, and scholarship with respect to teaching.

Nominations are due by Friday, Sept. 30. All OHIO faculty, alumni and students are invited to submit nominations.
