Athens Area Mediation Service offering free training to students, faculty and staff

Athens Area Mediation Service is offering free mediation training to all Ohio University students, faculty and staff.

The Fundamentals of Mediation training series will be held in Baker University Center Room 235 from 5:15-8:00 p.m. on Jan 30 and Feb 6, 13, 20, and 27. 

Mediation is a structured, informal, voluntary process in which a neutral third party facilitates a conversation between people who are experiencing some kind of conflict. The skills developed in this training can be applied both in a traditional mediation setting or can help with any situation in which individuals must navigate conflict.

While the training is free to all OHIO students, faculty and staff, there is a charge of $200 for those not affiliated with Ohio University.
