Women Who Tell Our Stories: Celebrating Women’s History Month
Celebrated every year, March is Women’s History Month. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories,” designated by the National Women’s History Alliance (NWHA).
The NWHA encourages “recognition of women, past and present, who have been active in all forms of media and storytelling including print, radio, TV, stage, screen, blogs, podcasts and more. The timely theme honors women in every community who have devoted their lives and talents to producing art, pursuing truth, and reflecting the human condition decade after decade,” according to their website.
To commemorate, the Division of Diversity and Inclusion along with the Scripps College of Communication will celebrate some of Ohio University’s powerful storytelling alumnae.
Scripps alumnae use their professional mediums to tell stories every day. From broadcast to print to photography and so much more, they are constantly shifting the communication fields they work in.
You can learn more about some of Scripps’ alumnae by visiting ohio.edu/scripps-college/women-who-tell-our-stories, which will be updated throughout the month.
