Ohio University Culinary Services OHIO Eats App receives award
Ohio University Culinary Services has received the Transact Distinction Award for Marketing and Outreach from Transact 360.
This award honors those institutions that have creatively and effectively promoted their technological advances on campus. Awardees will have used a variety of marketing efforts to enhance the visibility and value of campus credentials, flexible payment solutions, or other technology initiatives that elevate the institution’s brand while driving adoption and usage of the technology among students.
The 2023 Transact Distinction Awards Ceremony was held on March 8, in Atlanta, Georgia at the Westin Peachtree Overlook. The ceremony included recognition awards and a champagne breakfast for award winners and their guests.
The Ohio University Culinary Services’ OHIO Eats App team includes;
- Kent Scott - Associate Director of Auxiliaries Operations
- Jill Sayre - Application Administrator
- Brett Chambers – Auxiliaries Support Specialist
- Nathan Watson – Application Systems Analyst III
- Susie Hudepohl – Culinary Services Marketing and Design Intern.
Hudepohl, who will graduate with a Bachelors in Business of Administration in Spring 2023, was the primary designer and operator of the Loyalty/Marketing portion behind the OHIO Eats App. She is a senior studying Marketing, Management Information Systems and Business Analytics in the College of Business.
Transact Campus Commerce Solutions streamlines purchasing both on and off campus by providing choices of campus commerce capabilities such as meal plans, dining, concessions, printing, retail, mobile-ordering, vending, and more. Ohio University Culinary Services has integrated the mobile-ordering features with the OHIO Eats App by Transact. It also provides centralized access to real-time transaction data, equips administrators to make data-backed decisions on resource allocation, budgeting and marketing opportunities.
Culinary Services at Ohio University serves approximately 3.5 million meals per calendar year and is one of the largest student employers on campus. Culinary Services is a nationally recognized student leader and internship program which provides students with opportunities for class credit and management experience. There are more than 200 student leaders in catering, dining courts, cafes and campus markets.
