Ohio University to host American Red Cross blood drives in August

Ohio University will host American Red Cross blood drives on the Athens Campus on Thursday, Aug. 24, and Thursday, Aug. 31.

• On Aug. 24, the blood drive will be held in Baker University Center Room 240/242 from 2-7 p.m.
• On Aug. 31, the blood drive will be held in Heritage Hall from 12 – 6 p.m.

The American Red Cross has seen a decline in donations throughout the summer, and all eligible donors are encouraged to take part in the upcoming blood drives. Blood donors throughout the month of August will be eligible to receive a $10 gift card by email to a movie merchant of their choice.

Individuals who would like to donate are asked to make an appointment at this American Red Cross webpage.

Walk-ins are also welcome, but individuals who walk in without first scheduling an appointment generally have a longer wait time to donate.
