Celebrate innovative entrepreneurship at Bobcat Linkup event

Waterfront Hall, a cornerstone of community and culture in Wheeling, West Virginia, will host a dynamic event celebrating innovative entrepreneurship on Saturday, Aug. 17. Organized by the Ohio University Alumni Association, this special gathering will spotlight the remarkable talents and achievements of Ohio University Eastern and the vibrant entrepreneurial community of the Ohio Valley.

The day promises to be filled with inspiring presentations, dynamic discussions and unparalleled networking opportunities. Attendees will have the chance to connect with some of the brightest minds in the region, including groundbreaking start-ups and visionary leaders who are shaping the future of business and innovation.

The event will feature a panel of prominent entrepreneurs from the region who will share their insights and experiences, offering valuable lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs and seasoned professionals.

“This event is a unique opportunity to bring together aspiring entrepreneurs, seasoned business professionals and Ohio University alumni to celebrate and foster innovation,” said Dan Milleson, founder of Waterfront Hall and Ohio University graduate, who will also serve as the master of ceremonies for the event.

David Rohall, Ohio University Eastern dean of campus and community relations, emphasized the importance of maintaining strong connections with alumni and providing opportunities for current students.

"Establishing and maintaining connections with our Ohio University alumni is crucial for the continued growth and success of our community," Rohall said. "Events like this not only celebrate our graduates' achievements but also provide invaluable opportunities for our current students to learn, network and be inspired."

Adding to the excitement, the celebration will coincide with the lively Mountaineer Brewfest, taking place just outside the venue. Participants can enjoy a perfect blend of business and pleasure, exploring an array of craft beers, delicious food and festive entertainment.
