Enhancing the OHIO experience: Parking portal to use single sign-on

Beginning Aug. 12, Ohio University Transportation and Parking Services, in collaboration with the Office of Information Technology, is upgrading the parking portal to include single sign-on (SSO) functionality.

Members of the Ohio University community seeking access to their parking portal—to request campus parking permits, register vehicles or pay parking infractions—will now be able to utilize single sign-on with their OHIO email and password, like many other software systems at OHIO.

This change enhances security while providing a streamlined process and a cohesive experience with many other University software and sites.

When accessing the new parking portal, users will encounter the following changes:

  1. Instead of logging directly into the parking portal, users will be redirected to the standard OHIO Microsoft single sign-on page for authentication, which may require multifactor authentication.
  2. To sign in, users will need to use their OHIO email and password instead of just their OHIO ID (the first part of your OHIO email before the “@”).

Transportation and Parking Services is excited to make this change to better serve the OHIO community. Please contact the Transportation and Parking Services Customer Care Center at 740-593-1917 or tps@ohio.edu with any questions.
