Fall semester milestones in Plagiarism Detection Tool Evaluation Project

As the Office of Information Technology (OIT) continues the work outlined in this May update, it is pleased to share an update on the progress of the Plagiarism Detection Tool Evaluation Project. This work is moving forward as planned, building on the invaluable feedback provided by our academic community.

After incorporating requirements gathered from the academic community and feedback from the committee, the Request for Proposal (RFP) has been officially posted, inviting vendors to review and respond. You can view the survey results that informed this process here.

This fall, OIT will host vendor interviews and demonstrations, providing the OHIO community with opportunities to engage with potential solutions and offer feedback. Key dates to remember include the RFP bid period from Aug. 21 to Sept. 11, 2024, and vendor interviews from Oct. 1-18, 2024. OIT will share more information about specific demonstration and testing opportunities in early October.

It is important that OHIO gathers feedback from students, faculty and staff with a variety of needs for this type of toolset. Your input is crucial in ensuring we select the best solution for our university community.
