Career and Internship Fair to be held Oct. 2

Ohio University’s Career Services will host the Career and Internship Fair at the Ping Recreation Center on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Each year, employers from various industries travel across the country to recruit Ohio University students and alumni. The employment event is open to all Ohio University students and alumni, regardless of major or grade level.

Students attending the fair will have the chance to connect with more than 80 employers, offering a range of opportunities including full-time and part-time positions and internships. Career Services will also be offering free professional headshots at the career fair.

Career Services is available to help students get the most out of the career fair, offering one-on-one career coaching and advising. Students can stop by during drop-in hours Mondays–Fridays, from 1- 5 p.m. at Baker Center 507 (no appointment necessary).

Prior to the event, each student is encouraged to have their resume reviewed and printed in multiple copies. Additionally, students should review the list of attending employers on Handshake to prioritize the organizations they are most interested in speaking with.

Registration for the Career and Internship Fair is not required.

Career Services suggests that all attendees dress in business casual attire as students will have the opportunity to meet directly with potential employers. All students are welcomed and encouraged to visit the career closet at Baker 507 if needed.
