Join us to celebrate OHIO Homecoming 2024, Sept. 23-28

Bobcats will gather on the Athens campus for OHIO’s Homecoming Week 2024, starting Sept. 23, 2024.

The weeklong celebration will feature student and alumni favorites such as the Yell Like Hell pep rally featuring the Marching 110, football team and Rufus, the Bobcat Family Tent (following the Homecoming Parade), and of course the Homecoming Football Game at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 28 vs. Akron.

The entire Bobcat family, from OHIO students, faculty, staff and alumni to our surrounding communities, is encouraged to save the date for this one-of-a-kind celebration that offers plenty of opportunities to reminisce and celebrate all things OHIO. 

“Ohio University truly holds a special place in the hearts of everyone who has had an opportunity to be part of the traditions, memories and experiences that are uniquely OHIO,” said Jennifer Bowie, associate vice president of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving and the executive director of the Ohio University Alumni Association. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to our incredible community this fall to celebrate our Bobcat connections.” 

The parade will be live streamed at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 — register to obtain the link. 

Returning to the event lineup this year is Paint the Town Green. New to Homecoming 2024 is Bobcat Quest and Bobcat Quest: After Dark! Homecoming revelers will form a group of up to six participants — whether friends, family, or fellow Bobcats — and dive into this campus-wide and community-wide quest. You'll visit five of the 10 stops and document your visits with photo proof. After visiting five stops and submitting your photos, the team will be entered in a drawing to win exciting OHIO prizes. 

The annual Alumni Awards Ceremony will be held in the evening on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Registration is required. RSVP by Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024.
