OHIO community invited to retirement reception for Dawn Weiser on Oct. 29

Ohio University will host a retirement reception for Dawn Weiser on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

The reception will be held in the 1804 Lounge on the fifth floor of the Baker University Center from 3:30 – 5 p.m. All members of the Ohio University community are invited to stop by the reception and congratulate Weiser on her retirement.

Weiser has worked for OHIO for 26 years. She currently serves as a special assistant to the executive vice president and provost and the vice president for finance and administration. She will officially retire on Oct. 30.

Weiser joined the Grants and Accounting Office in 1998 and went on to work for Facilities Management and Safety, Budget Planning and Analysis, and the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration.

In addition, Weiser has supported the Ohio University Board of Trustees for the past 17 years.

"Over the last 17 years, Dawn has become an integral part of Ohio University and the Board of Trustees’ meeting preparation,” said Shelly Bean, secretary to the Board of Trustees. “Her incredible dedication, meticulous editing skills, and tireless attention to detail have been invaluable.  We are grateful for all of her excellent work.”

All students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to the retirement reception.
