Do you need some gift ideas but don’t know where to look? You’re in luck. Ohio University’s Center for Entrepreneurship, partnered with TechGROWTH OHIO and the College of Business, will host the Global Entrepreneurship Week StartUp Market on Thursday, November 21. This is the Center for Entrepreneurship’s fourth time hosting this event.
Influenced by the Global Entrepreneurship Network and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the StartUp market takes place during Global Entrepreneurship week, a world-wide event that has been observed for more than 15 years, celebrating and supporting entrepreneurs. The event will highlight student artists, vendors and local businesses, featuring offerings including homemade jewelry, crochet pieces and tarot card readings. There will be free food and beverages from local spots as well. Music and a photo booth will be provided by DJ A-Roc.
“This is a great way to both highlight and support students,” Liz Pahl, assisstant director of the Center for Entrepreneurship said. “Especially with the holidays coming up, students will be able to find well-priced locally made gifts.”
With over 32 student vendors registered and more expected, this is something you won’t want to miss. The StartUp Market will take place on Thursday, November 21, from 4-7 p.m. in the CoLab (Alden 301). RSVPs are highly encouraged.
