Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, OSU Health System reach tentative multi-year agreement

On Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield – which administers OHIO’s health insurance plans – and the OSU Health System reached a tentative agreement on a new multi-year contract, enabling the OSU Health System to remain part of Anthem’s list of in-network providers.

What this means for OHIO employees

This tentative agreement ensures that the OSU Health System – including its doctors, the Wexner Medical Center and The James Cancer Center – will remain in Anthem’s employer-sponsored health plans without interruption.

The OSU Health System has encouraged patients who recently canceled or rescheduled appointments to visit their MyChart account or contact OSU’s patient information line at 614-293-8000 to resume regular care.
