Sibs Weekend to feature concerts, sporting events, GLOHIO

Ohio University will celebrate Sibs Weekend Feb. 7-9 with a wide variety of performances and special events for Bobcats and their siblings.

Ohio University holds Family Weekends four times during the academic year, encouraging family members and friends to connect with their college students. Each weekend offers a wide range of activities including sporting events, outdoor adventures and performing arts.

Sibs Weekend 2025 will feature special events and activities on campus and in the community. All Bobcats and their family members and friends are invited to the Sibs Weekend events.

Friday, Feb. 7

First Fridays at the Multicultural Center (opens in a new window) – 5-6:30 p.m. at the Baker University Center Room 213. Every first Friday of the month, the Multicultural Center holds a themed social that's all about bringing students together. All OHIO students are invited to the First Friday events, which feature free food, fun activities and opportunities to make new connections on campus.

Heroes In Color: “Black Dynamite” (opens in a new window) – 7 p.m. at the Athena Cinema. Admission is free to the movie, but tickets are required. The screening will include pre-show activities that begin at 7 p.m., and the film will be shown around 7:30 p.m. You can find more information here. (opens in a new window)

BSCPB Presents: Apollo Night (opens in a new window) – 8-9:30 p.m. in the Baker University Center Theater. All OHIO students and their family members and friends are invited to see amazing performances from students. The performances may include music, comedy, poetry and much more. It’s all about showcasing the best talent in a fun atmosphere.

Matteo Lane (OHIO Live) (opens in a new window) – 8-10 p.m. in the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Matteo Lane is a New York-based comedian whose stand-up special can be seen on Netflix’s “The Comedy Lineup.” He has also been seen on several national programs, including “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” You can purchase tickets and find additional information here.  (opens in a new window)

Saturday, Feb. 8

Sibs Weekend Button Making (opens in a new window) – 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Alden Library Fourth Floor Lobby. All Bobcats are invited to stop by and make buttons, especially buttons for siblings.

Sibs Weekend Cycle (opens in a new window) – 11-11:45 a.m. at the Ping Student Recreation Center. Get ready to ride together in this fun and energetic cycling class designed for Bobcats and their siblings. This event requires you to register in advance. Sibs Weekend F45 (opens in a new window) – 12-12:45 p.m. at the Ping Student Recreation Center. This fun and challenging session is the perfect way to bond while tackling dynamic exercises in a supportive group setting. GLOHIO: Presented by the University Program Council (opens in a new window) – 6-10 p.m. in the Baker University Center Ballroom. Dive into the fun with activities like glow-in-the-dark mini golf, an LED dance floor, ping pong, and foosball. Satisfy your sweet tooth with cotton candy and discover even more surprises. Don’t miss this night of glowing excitement and interactive fun.

Sunday, Feb. 9

Sibs Weekend Day Hike. (opens in a new window) Travel with the Outdoor Pursuits staff to Hocking Hills and experience some of the best hiking the state has to offer. Participants should expect to hike 3-4 miles while carrying a light day bag with personal items. Trip price includes transportation and instructors.
