Current Initiatives

October 2023 - February 2024
FAFSA Simplification Act

Partnering with the Division of Enrollment Management to retool our financial aid awarding processes to account for the FAFSA Simplification Act. This work will let us continue offering timely and competitive award packages to incoming and continuing students.

January 2024 - December 2024
Slate for Current Students

Collaborating with the Office of the Provost and the Division of Enrollment Management to expand the use of this platform to include advising and to monitor and intervene in key moments of a student’s journey.

Notable Accomplishments

  • Slate for Graduate Prospective Students

Implemented the Reader module, which allowed graduate programs to make admissions decisions more quickly and more effectively.  A custom application previously used for this purpose was decommissioned as a result.

  • Transfer Credit Improvements

Implemented a robust set of tools for transfer credit automation for college transcripts, including XML (extensible markup language) import and OCR (optical character recognition) technology for PDFs and images. This resulted in significant efficiency gains for staff processing transfer credit.

  • University-Wide Training Platform

Collaborated with the Office of Audit, Risk, and Compliance and UHR to implement the first university-wide training platform with Vector Solutions. Began the process of consolidating training content across the various departmental solutions, providing better oversight of compliance training and an improved employee experience.
