Summer 2024 Integration Updates for Teaching & Learning Tools
Several tool upgrades and integration updates are scheduled for the summer 2024 semester.
VoiceThread Upgrade
A new VoiceThread upgrade will be available starting this summer with a fresh user interface and additional features. This upgrade, scheduled for the week of May 6, is making VoiceThread simpler to use and more accessible.
Panopto Integration Update for Blackboard
This May, Panopto’s integration will be updated within Blackboard by transitioning to a single interface (LTI 1.3), which merges the functionality of both original and Ultra courses. This update will replace the two current Panopto instances (building block and LTI 1.1 versions) and will be simplifying access and use for all instructors and students.
Other Updates to LMS Third-Party Tools
GoReact & Hawkes Learning Updates: Transitioning from LTI 1.1 to LTI 1.3, these updates primarily bolster security measures and ensure compatibility for future enhancements. While the immediate user experience may not change, these updates are crucial for maintaining the integrity and longevity of the platforms. Please be aware, student costs may vary based on the selected content.
Examsoft Enhancement for Nursing Courses: Examsoft will shift from a Building Block to an API for select nursing courses. This technical upgrade is designed to refine the assessment process, enabling more efficient data collection and analysis to support course improvement and student performance.
