Mission

IISE is the world’s largest professional society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial and Systems engineering profession and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. Founded in 1948, IISE is an international, nonprofit association that provides leadership for the application, education, training, research, and development of industrial engineering.

The purpose of the Ohio University Student Chapter is to realize the goal of IISE by promoting the profession, and providing Ohio University students with the opportunity to attend a variety of professional and networking events. Our chapter provides events to students of every major, and supports chapter members even if they are not members of the professional organization (although we encourage you to join!).

Our chapter consists of volunteer students who work with the Russ College of Engineering and its alumni to accomplish this mission. Each year, student officers are elected by the chapter to serve for a one year term.
