
Recent Building Renovations – South Green
Chemistry Building
The Chemistry Building was completed in 2020 as a significant portion of the overall renovation that also includes Clippinger Laboratories. It houses a number of chemistry labs, teaching spaces and offices, all with ample outdoor light and modern amenities, including active learning spaces and a nuclear magnetic resonance lab.
Clippinger Hall
Originally built in 1965, Clippinger is currently under renovation of both wings of the facility. When complete, Clippinger will be a modern research facility. The building is home to the College of Arts and Sciences and is the central building for science-related activities, such as physics and astronomy, geography and geological sciences.
Gordy Hall
Gordy Hall was built in 1912 for the School of Music and went through a major renovation in the late 1990s. It today hosts Linguistics and Modern Languages.
Walter International Education Center
A fraternity house until 2003, Walter International Education Center was renovated to its current use in 2009. It houses the Office of Global Opportunities and International Student and Faculty Services.
