Admissions
Applicants to the program must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of work experience is preferred. If you have any questions about the application, you may contact the MA Graduate Program Coordinator.

A complete application consists of the following:
Application Form – Applications for the master’s degree programs must be submitted via the Ohio University website. A non-refundable application fee of $50.00 is required at the time of application submission.
Official transcripts – Official undergraduate transcripts should be sent directly to the Graduate College.
Recommendations – Three (3) letters of recommendations appraising the applicant’s personal and professional qualities as well as capability for graduate study. The names and email addresses for references will be requested at the time the online application is submitted.
GRE Test Scores – Applicants who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from their undergraduate institution do NOT have to complete the GRE. Applicants with an undergraduate GPA lower than 3.0 must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (opens in a new window) to be considered for admission.
Goals Statement – A one page essay (maximum) discussing your professional goals and how the master’s program in organizational communication at Ohio University will enable you to achieve those goals. The statement will be attached to your online graduate application.
Resume – Please attach a current copy of your resume when submitting the online graduate application.
