Community Education Workshops

Community Education workshops are open to the general public regardless of educational background. These classes are self-supporting, and the fees collected from Community Education cover all instructional, administrative, and overhead cost of the program.  

All ages are welcome, unless noted.

Community Education workshops do not carry credit applicable toward an Ohio University degree or transferable to other institutions. Classes are scheduled year-round.

Paint and Sip with Charlie Haskins

Tuesday, November 19
6 – 8 p.m.

Join us for a creative evening at our Paint and Sip Workshop, led by artist Charlie Haskins! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, you'll enjoy step-by-step guidance to create your own masterpiece while sipping wine and enjoying a charcuterie board. Charlie, known for his whimsical blend of caricature and folk art, will inspire you with his storytelling through everyday life and folklore. Relax, unwind, and connect with friends in a welcoming atmosphere.
Participants must be 21 years or older to attend.

Wreath Making & Healthy Baking for the Holidays

Tuesday, December 3, 10, and 17
6 – 8 p.m.

Join us this December for a festive series of hands-on holiday workshops! In the first two weeks, we’ll focus on Healthy Baking for the Holidays, where you’ll learn how to make delicious sugar-free and gluten-free treats that are perfect for seasonal celebrations. Then, in the third week, get creative with our Holiday Wreath Making workshop, where you’ll craft a beautiful, custom wreath to brighten your home for the holidays. Whether you’re interested in tasty, health-conscious baking or festive decor, this series has something for everyone!

Refund Policy
Full refunds are given for cancellations made before the registration deadline of each workshop.  Cancellations received after the registration deadline will not receive a refund, as materials have already been purchased and preparations made for the workshop.

If you are unable to attend, registration can be transferred to another attendee for the same workshop. Send new attendee’s information: name, email, & *date of birth to Teresa Smith.

Registrations cannot be transferred to another workshop.

If a workshop is canceled due to low enrollment, registrants will be notified in advance and full refunds will be issued.

*DOB is needed for mixology workshops only.
