In February 2019, Community Standards and Student Responsibility (CSSR) established and re-formatted its group/organization misconduct process. CSSR worked closely with campus partners and student organizations to craft a clearer and more communicative process for future cases.

A six-tier assessment plan was developed, which includes learning outcomes for student success. This assessment plan is aimed at understanding student satisfaction, measuring learning through our process and data analytics that point to efficiency and effectiveness of our current programmatic approach.

Two CSSR staff members are participating in Culture of Respect, a national initiative that aims to educate and create policies and programs that address sexual violence prevention and response.

Community Standards has started to work with faculty and the deans in Athens and at regional campuses to support the academic integrity of Ohio University.

Community Standards led the institutional Review and Standards committee in developing a new Ohio University code of conduct. The code is set to be updated every two years. All changes were centered around compliance needs, fundamental fairness and the use of clearer language to assist all students in understanding the expectations and community standards process.
