In partnership with executive leadership and regional campus deans, we strive to provide an environment of a “one Ohio University”. Unfortunately, the regional campus retail venues operate in a deficit or at a loss. Each year we work to reduce the overall losses and make our operations more efficient than the year before. In the 2018-2019 academic year we were able to reduce the losses by 66.8 %.

Lancaster campus

All regional campus retail venues (Hilltop Café, Bobcat Bistro and The Southernmost Café) opened during fall semester of 2018 with completely refreshed menus and condensed hours of operation to more efficiently provide requested products and services during peak periods.

Southernmost Café on the OHIO Southern campus reduced labor costs by 38.7%, implementing a student-managed-and-operated venue at the Southernmost Cafe. Partnering with the Southern campus Business Administration program, a student intern has been given the opportunity to develop professional leadership and management skills with this hands-on experience.

Regional campus

Bobcat Bistro continues to build strong relationships with campus faculty and staff as well as organizational groups such as the Annual Advisory Council and the Diversity Committee to provide catering and special events that improve student experience at the OHIO Lancaster campus. The Bobcat Bistro also continues the tradition of providing fun food events focusing on the students' experience on campus.
