Peer Well-Being Network
A space for student leaders to connect, reflect and thrive.

Peer Well-Being Network

The Peer Well-Being Network at Ohio University is a dynamic, student-driven initiative dedicated to enhancing mental health and holistic well-being across our campus. We are a community of Ohio University students who are dedicated to uplifting and empowering their fellow peers through promotion of well-being efforts. Our mission is to break down barriers between peer leaders, fostering collaboration and support through a series of strategic programs and events.

Each semester, we host gatherings where peer leaders connect about current student experiences, reflect on campus well-being, and explore strategies for supporting themselves and others. Whether you're a peer mentor, RA, wellness ambassador, organization leader, or simply someone who cares about your community—you’re welcome here.

Get Involved

We are recruiting student leaders who seek an opportunity to dedicate themselves to uplifting and empowering their peers to better improve dialogue around student well-being on campus.

The Peer Well-Being Network pledge:

a student sitting in a chair during a well-being network meeting
  • I pledge to foster open and honest conversations that destigmatize mental health and embrace diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • I pledge to create a safe, welcoming, and brave space where every person feels heard, valued, and supported.
  • I pledge to be an active, compassionate listener, to give my full attention without judgement to others, and to provide empathy, respect, and dignity for all.
  • I pledge to promote meaningful and thought-provoking discussions with my peers that encourage self-reflection and growth.
  • I pledge to be an advocate for mental health and to use my power to expand the network to ensure that mental health resources are visible and accessible to all in need.
  • I commit to my own education and self-improvement by learning about mental health resources available on and off campus to better support my peers.
  • I pledge to prioritize my own well-being by taking intentional steps to care for my mental, emotional, and physical health, knowing that by strengthening myself, I can better support and empower my peers to do the same.
  • Together, we are stronger, and I dedicate myself to this journey, creating a ripple of positive change for myself and others.
