Office of Health Promotion

The Office of Health Promotion provides educational programming, peer support and education, and campus and community resources for students to feel empowered and educated to make healthy choices about what is important to them.

We strive to create safe and healthy campus environments by empowering the OHIO community to flourish through an emphasis on prevention, skill-building, peer health education and inclusive trauma-informed practices to promote campus-wide safety and well-being.

What We Do

  • We deliver comprehensive multi-level initiatives related to violence prevention, anti-hazing, mental health and well-being, alcohol & other drugs, and sexual health.
  • We center our prevention work using inclusive, proactive, upstream approaches that activate and increase numbers of students, staff, faculty and community members to flourish and thrive.
  • We work to promote and communicate healthy behavior change through building rich relationships, centering student voices and experiences, and de-stigmatizing help-seeking behaviors.
