Available parking and transportation options are outlined below for guest attending the OHIO Football home game.

Campus Parking Restrictions

Campus lots will close for public parking between 9pm Saturday, October 26 - 7am Sunday, October 27. During this time, parking access will only be provided to faculty/staff and currently enrolled students who hold an active/valid campus parking permit approved for use during fall semester. Vehicles not displaying a valid Ohio University campus parking permit are subject to violation. The minimum violation amount is $150 and citations issued during this restriction period are not eligible for void or reduction. More information can be found here regarding these restrictions. Guest are strongly encouraged to move their vehicle following the conclusion of the OHIO Football game.

Arriving To Campus

When planning your arrival to campus please allow additional travel time due to increased traffic. To assist with relieving traffic congestion we encourage guests to follow posted directional event signage that begins on each main highway access point approaching campus. Please be on the lookout for electronic sign messages directing traffic from US 50EB and US 33EB use the exit for SR 682 and traffic from US50WB to use the exit for Stimson Ave.

Parking

We encourage guest to follow directional signage to the nearest available parking location and arrive in advance to allow time to get to the stadium.

  • Accessible Parking is available in Peden Lot 132 and the Convocation Center Garage Lot 129 on a first-come, first-served basis. Please reference the map for specific locations. Game-day parking fees will apply.
  • Accessible Parking Drop Off is available in the Convocation Center Garage Lot 129 with free accessible transit to support travel to the stadium.
  • Donor Parking is available and accessible with a permit provided by the OHIO Bobcat Club. Please reference the map for designated donor parking areas.
  • General Admission Parking is available in surrounding parking lots and will be available at a rate of $10. Please reference the Athletics website for a detailed listing of game day parking areas.
  • Perimeter Game Day Parking is available at the Ridges and is not supported by transit however is accessible by walking.
  • Additional Parking Resources are available at the Athens City Parking Garage. This location is not affiliated with the University, fees apply.

All game day parking locations will accept credit or debit card only for method of payment.

Transportation

  • Accessible Transportation is available to guest with limited mobility. Please call 740-447-8037 on game-day for transportation assistance.
  • Campus Shuttles will be available beginning at 10 AM transporting guest from remote parking areas. Shuttle service runs through 1-hour post game. See below to reference shuttle routes. 
 

Road Closures

A portion of South Green Drive between Richland Avenue and Oxbow Trail will be closed on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in support of the home OHIO Football game. The closure will take effect on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 6AM and conclude 2 hours post-game on the same day to ensure the safety of participants at this event. Detour traffic should utilize Oxbow Trail and Bobcat Lane to navigate around the closure area.
