Why do you want to be an OHIO First Scholars Advocate?
I am interested in working with first-generation scholars and students in the arts. While I am not myself a first-generation college student, I believe the challenges specific to the arts can be overcome through support, mentorship, and encouragement from others who've come before. I would like to offer my time and guidance to the developing scholar/artist to help build the essential skills needed to engage with the world through creativity, to discern possibility in challenges, and the need to flip expectations on their head.
