Official Biography

Captain Sophia A. Pyle is a native of Hudson, Ohio and was commissioned through the ROTC program at Ohio University in 2015 as a Military Police Officer.

Her civilian and military education includes: a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sciences (Ohio University, 2015), a Minor in Military Sciences (Ohio University, 2015), a Certificate of Diabetes Studies (Ohio University, 2015), Military Police Officer Basic Course, Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, The Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, Airborne School, and Air Assault School.

Captain Pyle’s assignments include Platoon Leader, 194th Military Police Company, Executive Officer, 551st Military Police Company, Rear Detachment Commander, 551st Military Police Company, Battalion S4, 716th Military Police Battalion, Fort Campbell, KY, Assistant S3, 6th Military Police Group (CID), JBLM, WA, Commander, Western Criminal Investigation Division Field Office – 44th MP DET (CID), JBLM WA, 89th MP DET (CID), Fort Irwin, CA, and the Presidio of Monterey, CA CID Offices, Installation Law Enforcement Operations Officer in Charge, JBLM, WA, and Assistant Professor of Military Science, Ohio University, Athens, OH.
