Voinovich faculty selected for Academic Leadership Development Program

Dr. Natalie Kruse-Daniels, Assistant Professor and Environmental Studies Program Director at Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, has been selected as one of four OHIO faculty to serve as a Mid-American Conference (MAC) Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP) Fellow.

Now in its third year, the program is a professional development program to develop, prepare and enhance the ability of faculty and administrators to be effective academic leaders. Kruse-Daniels will take part in the introductory tract, which include participating in two separate three-day workshops for all fellows. They will be held in the fall at the University at Buffalo and in the winter and Northern Illinois University.

"All nominees possessed the qualities intended for the program of leadership, achievement and administrative service," Associate Provost for Faculty and Academic Planning Howard Dewald said. "I am confident that the four chosen will represent Ohio University well and gain a variety of experiences and training that will position them as future academic leaders."

The other three Ohio University faculty chosen were Todd Eisworth, Associate Professor and Chair of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences, and Nukhet Sandal, Associate Professor and Director of Global Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences, who were selected for the Advanced Track. Akil Houston, Associate Professor of Cultural and Media Studies, was also selected for the introductory tract.
