Voinovich Scholar receives $6,000 Student Enhancement Award

Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholar Winter Wilson, majoring in HTC Environmental Studies and Journalism, recently received a Student Enhancement Award of $6,000 for a climate change communication documentary series.

The Ohio University Student Enhancement Awards program provided 22 students with a total of $124,423 in funding for their original research, scholarship and creative work this spring.

Wilson is mentored by Dr. Geoff Dabelko, Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs Associate Dean and environmental studies professor.

The Student Enhancement Awards are funded by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Creative Activity and administered by the Council for Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity, which is appointed by Faculty Senate.

The program received 82 proposals with a total funding request of $454,625. Students may request up to $6,000 per proposal.
