Final report for PORTSfuture Project includes potential future site uses and economic impact for Ohio counties

Ohio University's PORTSfuture project has engaged hundreds of community members from Pike, Jackson, Ross, and Scioto counties in developing possible future use scenarios for the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PORTS) facility in Piketon, Ohio. Community groups developed nine possible scenarios that were voted on by the public-at-large this past summer and fall.We have summarized the results of the PORTSfuture project and the public preferences that emerged from the community voting process.We invite you to view the full report at our website: www.portsfuture.com

This report has been submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management for their consideration as they make clean-up and risk reduction decisions about the site.
