#TriathlonTraining
Annually, in January, we offer a Triathlon Training to prepare you for Triathlon season and Race for a Reason.
Join us for Triathlon Training to jump-start your health and wellness goals in the new year! Triathlon Coach Bill Hauschild will help prepare your bodies and minds for the triathlon season.
This 14-week class incorporates some short lectures on how to properly prepare for and navigate a triathlon. The class meets once a week and alternates between swim, bike, and run workouts. Along with weekly classes, your class registration includes a progressive 14-week physical training program to help you get into top shape. This program is timed to complete the week prior to the Race for a Reason - Ohio University, though participation in Race for a Reason is not required to attend the class.
Each class must receive a minimum of 14 registrants. If minimum registrations are not reached in advance of the class beginning, participants will be given the option to transition to an alternate class time or to receive a refund.
Registration will open in December/January annually. Details below reflect last year's program parameters.

How to register:
Equipment Details: The classes are tailored to beginner/intermediate level. For that reason, we do not require any technical equipment for this class. Please review the basic, suggested equipment below so you're prepared to be comfortable for each class.
- Swim: Swimsuit and towel. We do also suggest that you purchase swim goggles because the chlorinated water can irritate people's eyes (not required).
- Bike: Our cycling classes will be indoors on the spin trainers, so no bicycle is needed. We recommend people bring a sweat towel and water bottle to class.
- Run: Our running classes are sometimes outdoors, so we ask that people dress appropriately for the current weather conditions.
Locations:
- For each session, participants will meet up at the following locations, unless otherwise noted by the instructor:
- Swim: Ohio University Aquatics Center
- Bike: WellWorks Mind/Body Room (Grover Center E192)
- Run: Various on-campus locations (instructor will provide locations to participants)
