Hometown: I’m a 20+ year resident of Athens County, originally from just below Cincinnati and currently I live in Athens city limits.

Education: I earned my Bachelors in Business Administration and am working on a Communications Masters at Ohio University, working on both as a non-traditional student and full-time employee.  

Hobbies: I spend a lot of my time outside of work playing with broken glass, stained glass, and mosaics. I also dabble in photography, and adore travelling to Italy.

Art: E.E. Cummings (poetry & painting), Caravaggio, Botticelli

Why OHIO? I started my time at OHIO as an employee, then decided to finish my degree. I have been in Testing, eLearning, Mathematics, Finance, and now have found my forever home in Advising! OHIO is a special place because there are so many connections to be made in our small community that have far reaching effects. You never know where your next connection will lead!

Any advice?

• Talk to your professors, your fellow students, and basically everyone around you. Networking is a real thing, but so are people skills.  
• Go to class! It might seem like missing one class won’t be a big deal but it could be the class that helps make it all click!
• Get involved! Find a group that makes you curious and gives you a sense of community. There are so many organizations across campus that have so many great people. Also, there’s usually food involved!
• ASK FOR HELP. When you’re struggling, when you’re curious, when you just want to be sure. Advisors are here for you every step of the way.
