Sports Nutrition Certificate
The sports nutrition certificate provides undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in professions including but not limited to, registered dietitians, certified athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, certified health education specialists, physician assistants, physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and coaches, knowledge and sports nutrition-related skill development to enhance their program of study.
Requirements
The Sports Nutrition Certificate requires a minimum of 16 hours.

Complete:
- EXPH 1490 - Introduction to Exercise Science
- Credit Hours: 3
Core Courses in Nutrition
Complete the following:
- NUTR 1000 Introduction to Nutrition 3 credits
- NUTR 3000 Nutrient Metabolism 3 credits
- NUTR 3230 Fundamentals of Nutrition for Athletic and Physical Performance 3 credits
- NUTR 4900 Special Topics in Nutrition 2 credits
