Coaching Education Graduate Handbook
Dear Graduate Students:
On behalf of the faculty in the Department of Recreation, Sport Pedagogy, & Consumer Sciences (RSPCS), I would like to welcome you to Ohio University e-campus in the Online Coaching Education program. You have made an excellent choice in deciding to pursue your graduate studies at Ohio University.

The Department offers three programs at the master’s level including Coaching Education (on-line, soccer coaching, and campus-based) and Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies (on-campus) and a number of undergraduate programs including Health and Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport Coaching, Restaurant, Hotel, and Tourism, Retail & Fashion Merchandising, Customer Service Leadership, and Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies. We also offer a Physical Activity and Wellness Program (PAW) that includes classes for skill development, fitness, and socialization.
This handbook includes current policies and guidelines for Athens-based graduate studies in the Department of Recreation, Sport Pedagogy, & Consumer Sciences. The handbook is intended to help answer questions you may have as you begin your graduate experience and to serve as a reference as you progress toward graduation. We hope you will find the information included in this handbook useful.
