New to the University?

If you are new to the University – WELCOME BOBCAT! As you begin your career with Ohio University, we wanted to make you aware of some of the resources we have available to help you figure out how to do business at the University.

• Visit our website – we have a ton of information available to help you navigate how to buy and pay, how to travel, use your university payment or travel card in accordance with policy, use the finance systems, manage your accounts, and much more!
• We have online training available for many of our systems and processes available that you can take, at your leisure and on demand. To access our training catalog please visit the Professional Development website and click on ‘Pathways.’ You can also see a complete listing of the Finance trainings available here.
• There are numerous Quick Reference Guides available that walk you through how to use our systems and many of our key processes.
• Finance publishes a monthly newsletter that provides timely updates related to doing business at the University. You can access the articles on our Business Matters website but you can also subscribe to the finance-news distribution list and have Business Matters delivered right to your email each month.
• To subscribe to the finance-news distribution list follow the instructions on the Join or Leave a Catmail Distribution Group webpage. Search for Finance News when prompted.
• The Resources tab on our website provides links to many of the items above, as well as the Finance Operating Calendar which contains key processing dates, as well as a detailed Excel calendar that you can download.
