Joshua Coy

Executive Director for Arts Partnerships and Programming

Josh is an arts administrator, arts advocate, and storyteller who has held previous roles as Producing Director for Tantrum Theater, Executive Director of the Wayne Center for the Arts, Executive Director of the Ohio Arts Presenters Network, and Director of Artists Programs for the Ohio Arts Council.

Joining CoFA in 2019, Josh assisted Tantrum Theater succeed shortly after the company's arrival to Athens as one of the few small professional theaters in the country that remained continuously in operation throughout the pandemic, producing in many creative forms of media including audio plays, podcasts, film, and virtual plays. He earned Tantrum its first external grant funding in excess of $100k, including NEA funding for the commission of the new work Hotel Berry by Jacqueline Lawton in partnership with Mt. Zion Baptist Church Preservation Society, and most recently was awarded four years of Ohio Arts Council Sustainability grant funding in summer 2023.

He enjoys attempting to play as many musical instruments as his family's patience will bear, continuing education in media storytelling, failing to make a dent in the pile of books on his nightstand, and collaborating with the many creative members of CoFA and the extended Athens community.

He currently resides in Columbus with his wife Megan and his son Wesley.
