Choral Union

Choral Union

Traditionally, the Choral Union is a large, mixed chorus of students, faculty, and townspeople. During Fall semester the Choral Union was a smaller ensemble of vocal music students. The ensemble unites annually with the Ohio University Symphony to perform outstanding major choral works. These have included the Brahms Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Fauré's Requiem, Honegger's King David, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Orff's Carmina Burana, Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms, Kodaly's Missa Brevis, J.S. Bach's St. John Passion, Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, and the Glorias of Poulenc, Rutter, and Vivaldi. There is no audition requirement to join Choral Union.
