Born and raised in the rolling hills of Appalachia in Southeastern Ohio, Sylas Johnson has always had a calling to the art world. Spending his summers in various art-based courses, his passion for the world of art grew, which led Sylas to become a student in the Interior Architecture and Design program at Ohio University.

Sylas’ thesis, Renewed Origins, focuses on providing at-risk and homeless youth the services they need to integrate successfully into society by learning essential life skills and continuing education. Located in Athens, Ohio, Renewed Origins will provide a safe space for all youth while also being close to accessible transportation routes and is the home to a plethora of resources such as an education center, job development, mental/ clinical services, and more!

Post-Graduation, Sylas plans on jumping straight into the interior design world!
