New Class: Ridges Outdoor Fitness Camp
WellWorks is excited to announce a new group fitness class offering during Summer 2018.
This outdoor fitness class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The class will start at the Kennedy Museum parking lot at The Ridges and utilize the grounds at The Ridges to challenge one's stamina, flexibility and strength. The full course will run for 14 weeks over both Summer 1 and Summer 2 sessions (no class the week of July 4th). A WellWorks membership is required for participation in the full course. Though, the first week (May 14 and 16) will be free and open to the public (a liablity waiver must be signed)!
The class ranges from moderate to vigorous intensity and delivers a total body workout based around a series of body weight movements that are easily modifiable to adjust to your desired level of difficulty. This class incorporates a full body warm up, circuit strength training of all muscle groups, accessory muscle toning, core stability and endurance training along with a cool down and stretching. Come ready to enjoy the great outdoors, and be sure to bring sturdy shoes as you will be pushing towards your fitness goals on many different types of terrain. The class runs rain or shine. Announcements will be made on facebook (@WellWorksOU) for severe weather warnings. All fitness levels welcome.
