Monday, February 17: Primal Poses with Josh

5:15pm-6:00pm. Grover Center W131

Quadruped locomotive exercises such as the bear, monkey, and frogger are fun alternatives to traditional strength and flexibility  exercises.  In this session, we will review the unique physical benefits of quadruped locomotive exercises.  Variations on selected exercises will be reviewed and practiced.  Participants must be comfortable maintaining a quadruped position (e.g. on hands and knees).  Fitness clothing is recommended.

Monday, February 24: Alignment-Balance-Core, Advanced Practice with Steve

5:15pm-6:00pm. Grover Center E192 (Mind Body Room)

Looking to step up your ABCs? Steve will offer an advanced level class featuring higher intensity exercises to strengthen, tone and improve balance. The class will include: education/lecture, added skills practice, and additional program resources so participants can continue their practice on their own.  Moderate to advanced fitness levels recommended.  Participants should plan to wear fitness clothing.

Monday, March 16: Building Better Resiliency with Jenn

5:15pm-6:00pm. Grover Center W131

Oh, hey, you’re stressed out? Yeah. Us too.  The truth is, stress is a constant presence in our lives  that can be both helpful and hurtful. In this workshop, Jenn (a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach) will encourage self-reflection and share creative ways to build resiliency in your life.   Any attire is appropriate for this workshop.  Except squirrel costumes. Jenn is terrified of squirrels.

Monday, April 6: Deskercise with Annie Laurie

5:15pm-6:00pm. Grover Center E192 (Mind Body Room)

Let’s face it. Despite all of our good intentions to move, stretch and tone, the average American worker spends a majority of the day sitting at a desk. During this session, you’ll learn and practice some easy movements that won’t interfere with your productivity but can help address muscle tension and toning by incorporating simple movements in short increments throughout the work day.  Fitness clothing or business attire are appropriate for this workshop.
